“Solutions" ?!? send ‘em to MA?
To keep their promises to retirees, the California Public Employees Retirement System [CalPERS], the biggest plan, the California State Teachers Retirement System, the second-largest, and the University of California Retirement System may have combined liabilities of more than 5.5 times the state’s annual tax revenue by fiscal 2012
whaa?
In 2009, the pension liability came out to $3,000 per working-age adult in the state. By 2014, it will triple to over $10,000 per working-age Californian.
whaaa?!?!?
Currently, the average state employee contributes to the system for 25 years, but will receive benefits for 26 years — and the number of benefit-receiving years is increasing
Whaaa?!?!?!?!?!
And vast swaths of this state think electing Jerry Flush Brown, the fella who started this whole public Union thing, back at the helm is not a suicide pact.
I dunno. Maybe it will be the thing that turns CA around… Kinda like McCain *ptui* would have been a sloooow boil while Captain Bullshit tossed the country in an already boiling pot, producing the energy behind the TEA Party. Meg sure seems like Ahnold in heels/McCain *ptui* in a blonde wig [and still coherent]
Nevertheless, CA is gonna hafta break their contract with a vast number of the overpopulation of gubbmint employees. Otherwise there will be nothing left for La Raza to reconquista.
