The Pledge
...swear ta dogs
June 22, 1942 ... the United States Congress included the Pledge to the Flag in the United States Flag Code (Title 36). In 1945 the Pledge to the Flag received its official title as: The Pledge of Allegiance
A conversion by the sword is no conversion at all. Similarly a pledge under coercion is no pledge at all.
Here’s how I would settle it, would you were to make me King for the Day:
Anywhere that anyone is forcing/ making/ coercing anyone under law/ statute/custom to pledge their allegiance, they gotta knock it off right now.
Anyone who doesn’t want to say “under God” doesn’t hafta say it. Anyone who does want to say it—go for it. Anyone who has a different way of proclaiming their loyalty to this nation and its principles—speak right up.
Anyone who in no way, shape or form wants to proclaim any kind or sort of loyalty to our nation or its principles—get the hell outta here.
Easy? Yep.
Now, someone go smack that insufferable Newdow prick, m’kay?
