EWW EU Pulls a Boner
The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs yesterday confirmed the bone ban for Britain's 10,000 butchers. A spokesman said: 'Under new regulations, bones and all waste from a butcher's shop is being seen as a by-product. 'Customers can take bones away with them when they buy the deboned meat if it is for human consumption. 'But if the bone is waste or for pet food then it's a by-product and cannot be passed to the public. 'It must be properly disposed of, in line with animal by-products regulations.' [to the tune of about $2,000/ year. each.]
And we worry about these people's opinions, why???
