Whyinhell is this even a story?!?

CAIRO (Reuters) - Deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein is depressed... "He is distraught and depressed,"

And it this what Saddam is depressed about?

"We underestimated the scale of what happened in Iraq at that time," {Alawi] said. "So far we have discovered 262 mass graves, with tens of thousands of people. It's unbelievably shocking - truckloads, busloads of people buried." There had been a recent discovery of a busload of people buried alive at Hilla, an hour's drive south of Baghdad. "Men, women and children - they were still sitting in their seats," he said. "Innocent people who rejected Saddam and his rule."

Nope. He's depressed cuz he doesn't get enough muffins and cigars...

Evidence of Saddam looting more than a billion dollars from Iraq's central bank was still being uncovered, Mr Allawi said. "Whatever we thought we knew, what was portrayed in the media, was nothing compared with what we saw with our own eyes when we came into Baghdad." Mr Allawi said there was evidence of "linkages" with terrorists, including Carlos the Jackal and Ansar al-Islam, an Islamist group in northern Iraq accused by the US of providing a safe haven for al-Qaida. "I am surprised when I hear people talk about whether the war was justified. If Saddam had had his way he would have turned the whole region into hell."

Yeah -- tell it to a "kind and sensitive" DhimmoCrap...

  1. Claire, Off topic, but are these raisins-before-dried Concord type? Damn, they make me want to just reach up and pick a bunch right off the screen.

PS: Had to say raisins-before-dried cause your spam filter sees the correct word as a bad word and wouldn’t let me post?? Also called me a moron and hurt my feelings.

  3. ok, JimR, that is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.  I think it is the set of letters between the g and the s that has triggered it.  I was getting rather more beastiality and kiddie p0rn spamments, including that word, than I liked.... *shudder*

I’m really sorry it was rude to you.  I hope you read the bottom clause?  ; >

As to the ...er, gr@p3s; they are merlot, or mebbe pinot.  Muuuch sweeter and lighter than Concord, bright in flavor.  Just as soon as they reach the right sugar dontent, they’re off to the cursh and on to the bottle.  ; > Liquid Civilization on the hoof, as ‘twere.

  5. Claire,
Just kidding of course about having my feelings hurt by a canned response from a computer. I don’t have a sensitive little heart like John!

To prevent your filter from picking out parts of words, remember to insert a space before and after your word filter entries.(grin)
