Too Close for Comfort

This sort of thing is all well and good when it happens in some picturesque village in North bluddy-Umberland, or Cows Lip Glen, or somewhere else remote and, therefore, fictional. But right here in NoCa?!? Almost right down the road ?!?! [shudder] CropCircle1.JPG

a half-dozen crop circles were discovered in the waist-high stalks of grain...about four miles west of Fairfield [in Solano County about 50 miles Northeast of San Francisco]

The circles, measuring up to 50 yards across, are... a sure sign that alien spaceships zipped into town

"I feel vacillations," said Connie Pearson, who came from New Orleans. "Low vibrations. I feel reality, which is a function of agreement. It's very exciting to be here."

Sylvia Keita, a journeyman psychic ... brought her mother and her 12-year-old daughter to the wheat field.

"I can feel the healing energy," she said.

"It's real," said her mom.

"I think it's making my asthma better," said her daughter

I mean -- look at it ! ! [squirm] CropCorcle2.JPG "Well isn't *that* just fine and dandy," thinks I. "It's creepy as hell, but it's miles away..." -- 'til I went out early this morning and found this: (click below)

  1. Hey, according to local legend, UFOs landed in my hometown in upstate New York in 1964.  The aliens talked with some farmer and took some plant samples.  I don’t know if there were any crop circles, though.

This happened two years before I was born and by the time I heard the tale circulating at school, it had grown by immense proportions: kidnapping of locals, anal probes, the whole nine yards.  My mother, who was a UFO buff, showed me a book where the “visit” was documented.  Nobody was kidnapped.

    Those pics are kinda eerie…

  2. Sometimes it’s hard to tell when you are being serious and when you are being sarcastic.

It was my understanding that crop circles were done by young people who were, in their own right, artistic but very bored with nothing better to do.

But those CRAP circles!  Now that’s something totally different!  I’m gonna go hide under my covers now.

  3. Crap circles… LOL!!!!

So ‘64 was two years before you were born.  So that puts you as a year younger than me.  That explains your warped sense of humor.  :0)

  4. CRAP CIRCLES!!!

Well, in the final analysis, aren’t they all really crap circles?

  6. Actually I was born in 1969.  But yes, I do have a warped sense of humor.

Why do you think I like your site so much?
