ToDaZeD Have We Fallen Into a Parallel Universe While I Wasn't Looking WTF?!?
I thought dinner seemed a little weird...
Are we witnessing the reemergence of the far right as a power in American politics? Has John McCain, inadvertently perhaps, become the midwife of a new movement built around fear, xenophobia, racism and anger?
“fear, xenophobia, racism and anger” = “power”
erm… WTF?!?
Yet McCain’s own campaign is playing with powerful extremist themes to denigrate Obama.
Uh… Uh-bama hangs out with a guy who thought he was so special, so right in his ideology that it was morally acceptable for him to destroy others’ property and attempt to actually kill innocent people to advance his agenda. [lack of success is no excuse] And then Uh-bama joins with this same guy to advance that same ideological agenda via cramming it into the heads of children.
And McCain is “playing with powerful extremist themes??!” Those “dangerous themes” are Uh-bama’s themes.
But the angry McCain-Palin crowds,
A few individual nut buckets at a couple of rallys…
and particularly those who threaten violence or shout racist epithets, should be a wake-up call to McCain. The dark hints
He’s right there—stop freakin’ hinting and spell out Ayers’ “emancipatory critical pedagogy” and “social justice” education reform bat squeeze. See what the folks at the rallys think about that. Find some actual curriculum that the Chicago Annenberg Challenge slid into those schools along with all that grant money and see how it goes over with Mr Undecided voter.
about Obama that McCain’s campaign is dropping dovetail too nicely with the nasty trash floating around the Internet and the airwaves.
Yeah - cuz we’re too dam dumb to discern truth from fantasy. Yanno - like Uh-bama voters.
The last thing we need is a campaign that strengthens fanaticism, tarnishes the authority of the next president and ...
All right All right - just stop right there. What in hell have The Left and the MSM been doing for the last 8 years but “tarnishing the authority of the president?” Chimpy McBushitlerhalliburton ring a bell?!?
Yeah—what McCain ought to do is explain the giant, planet-sized holes and obfuscating horse hockey that are Uh-bambi’s “policies” and turn right around and flop out a sensible, plain language policy of his own in its stead.
“Uh-bummer says he wants to give 95% of Americans a tax break. Problem is 35% of Americans don’t pay any income taxes [which will be a revelation to most folks right there.] Uh-bumbler’s “refundable TAX break” means that while you pay more, someone who doesn’t owe any tax gets a nice check from the IRS - out of the money you paid. I promise to veto any tax increase beyond what you paid this year. Congress will just have to cut some pork to pay for anything new.”
See? I just dashed that off from what I had lying around the dusty recesses of my brain. Didn’t take a focus group of 100 and a clutch of economics wonks. It looks fairly comprehensible, too. With no editing.
It ain’t rocket surgery, John. I think you’ve confused the shiite outta yourself by trying to complicate things with too much nuance. Americans ain’t particularly nuancy people, once ya get away from the extreme coasts. I think some *cough* straight talk might just work. Give it a whirl.
