Universal health care eventually gives the government the means to decide who lives and who dies… by group… as a matter of policy… for the good of The People™... without all those pesky ovens.
I’ve just posted on the difference between Innovation and Intervention. And the role government says it wants to play, and the role it actually plays.
One of the lines I like from tonight’s “9/11 Conspiracies” on the History Channel was the observation that for most of the Truther idiocy to make sense we needed a hypercompetent government agency to exist.
Before we start relying on a government agency to allocate health care, maybe we should be looking for those “hypercompetent” state agencies already in existence? Is it CALPERS? All they have to do is follwo the money.
