Obama on his Berlin speech today [overheard on the raadio:]
"Hopefully* this will be seen as a substantive articulation of what I want blablabla relationship with Europe bla bla bla...
He coulda said, “Hopefully this will be understood as...”

I’ll give him a pass on “hopefully”. But not on “... president for the next 8 to 10 years”.
Besides not having the next election locked in, the phrase “8 to 10” is just something you say, it’s a term you throw out from habit, something that lets you throw in a few more words without having to think about it.
Which seems to be what Obama does a lot of times.
The other thing is, why do all these photos of the Great One make him look like a Wise and Wonderful Guy? I saw one the other day that carefully centered his head inside a white circle, athat gave him a halo.
