So if the gubbmint makes all the illegals legal whoinhell expects them to continue to be “cheap labor?” The only thing that kept them accepting low wages was the threat of deportment and the lack of leverage of being illegal.
Once they’re legal, they’ll be charging/expecting $25/hour just like all those lazy Americans who “don’t really want to do the jobs” anyway.
Once they’re legal, they’ll be joining unions and demanding $75/hour.

They really, really, really want to keep those illegals here. Mexicans, Polish, Somali—whatever. They’re even unwilling weed out [read: have us pay for] the felons, thieves, gangstas and MS13 psychos to achieve this end.

Too true, there will always be somebody “fresh off the boat” escaping a dirt hut and no running water who will work for peanuts, a lot cheaper than any of the Twelve Million will find acceptable in ten years. Amnesty will just ensure we’ll host a violent labor struggle between millions of noncitizens.
