My friend J and I went to Sacratomato yesterday for a little shopping—eerie it was. We hit a coupla places downtown and there was no body—no freakin’ body—on the streets aside from a bum on every third corner and a cop car at every—every—intersection. The park near the river was jammed with Mexoid flags and peeeepole and there were more streaming in in the immediate area, but downtown near the capitol—no one.
We completed our tasks and beat a hasty retreat to the dread ‘burbs near Expo—which were dreary and depressing, clogged and crappy as per usual.
