Speaking of digging a hole and climbing in...

[yes.  this toolbag is *smack*-worthy.  just tell her she’s a carbon-based life form and watch her head explode.  then remind her of her “ecological debt” *p00f* then confiscate that polyester, carbon-based shirt and replace it with a hair shirt]

[funny how Change is considered the best thing since sliced bread OR “The End of The World” depending on context.  longer growing seasons in Canada and Siberia = Bad Change.

yeah; funny]

Look for this filim at a grade skool near you.

  1. She’s never lost an argument in her life.

  2. My tolerance level maxed out at about 1:46, where she’s starting to talk about the carbon offset trading.  Did she ever get around to the fact that big Al Gore is one of the principals in the biggest offset company (humorously known as “Blood & Gore")?

Wiki tells me that Annie is connected with the Tides Foundation.  That’s certainly a red flag (or maybe Red Flag...)

She says that our industries “release carbon”.  No-no-no-no-no.  It’s carbon dioxide.  Small point, but so do we - when we breathe.  And so does beer - and champagne - and soda pop.  Las Vegas probably uses more CO2 for special effects (dry ice...) than the rest of the country - and I don’t read about hundreds of people keeling over from being near it.

Look at the graph:  (this is for OregonGuy, who loves slanted graphs) skip ahead to 1:41, where she tells us that “all serious scientists” ...

The CO2 ppm scale runs from 350 to 387.  We’re told that in order to reduce CO2 from 387 to 350 (a 9.5% decline (which makes the difference between the End of Civilization As We Know It, and blue skies and green fields all around)), we need to reduce our emissions by 80%.

Does anybody wonder - if emissions are reduced by 80%, and this gets us a 9.5% decline in CO2, what the other 70.5% of those emissions are?

Where’s that General from Katrina days when we need him to go tell people like this “don’t get stuck on stupid”.
