Spammenteed by The Rat ! !
Spamments from D1sney,com. Like this outfit has to use my nickel to advance its name. Slee. Zee. So I wrote a little note to relieve myMichael Eisner, CEO, The Walt Disney Company Dear Mr Eisner; I note that Rule #2 on your "Netiquette" page of rules for conduct on your site reads as follows:
2.) No solicitations or advertisements are allowed. These include advertisements for your business or latest get-rich-quick scheme. Such notes add clutter and devalue conversation. [emph. mine -C]
I employ the same rule on my site. Imagine my disappointment to receive the enclosed comments [2] advertising your site in my comments section. In the blogging world, this is called spammenting, and it is frowned upon as it is a way of advertising one's own "business or latest get-rich-quick scheme" at someone else's expense -- by using someone else's bandwidth. Very tacky. I have enclosed the ISP number from which both comments originated so that you may more easily put a stop to this. I will expect your reply detailing your efforts and success in stopping this practice by close of business Wednesday, June 16, 2004. Thank you for your kind and timely attention to this matter. Sincerely s/ Claire Barry e-Claire encl. 2 cc George J. Shall I hold my breath waiting for that response?
And thusly does the mouse enter the realms of the blacklisted.
