People are frustrated, their anxious, they’re scared about the future. And they have a right to be impatient about the pace of change. I’m impatient. But I also know this.
Now is not the time to quit. Now is not the time to give up.
We’ve been through worse as a nation. We’ve come out stronger. From war, to the Depression to the great struggles for equal rights, and civil rights.
It took time to free the slaves. It took time for women to get the vote. It took time for workers to get the right to organize.....
hm… The clip stops there. I’d be interested to know how he will characterize throwing the economy into a cocked hat, crippling industry with energy taxes, refusing to utilize the resources on our continent, taxing productive citizens into poverty while allowing others to ride the bus for free, nudge-ing everyday behavioral changes via the unaccountable regulatory process, bowing to foreign despots, ignoring/dising old friends, cramming “legislation” written by special interest groups down the throats of the citizens, while calling those citizens “raaaacists”, “bigots”, and ignorant, bitter clingers in such a way as to liken a continuation of all those things to “freeing the slaves.”
Neat trick.
