Say Whaaa?

International Testes Testeys

"Those who provoke [North Korea] once will not be able to escape its unimaginable and merciless punishment,” the North’s official news agency said.

Just for keeping in mind…

"The DPRK conducted another nuclear test in disregard of the common opposition of the international community,” a Foreign Ministry statement, issued May 25, noted. “The Chinese government is firmly opposed to this act.”

Is that so? Today, China supplies about 90% of North Korea’s oil, 80% of its consumer goods and 45% of its food. Beijing is Pyongyang’s only formal military ally and its primary backer in the United Nations Security Council and other diplomatic forums. If it weren’t for the Chinese, there would be no North Korean missile program, no North Korean nuclear program and no North Korea.

...

  1. Good Statement from the DPRK.

They will be happy to give one of their new nukes to some radical Islamists who will smuggle the thing into the US via Mexico.  That will be a happy day.

The DC press corps and the political ruling classes have been engaged with Obama’s SCOTUS nominee and haven’t given proper attention to the treat from North Korea.  Obama took the day after Memorial day - when he should have confronted the issue - to roll out his nominee and effectively change the subjects.  When Democrats are pressured, they change the subject.

In any event, some strange things were said in and around DC after the DPRK nuke and missle tests.  (for a top ten list, you can look at:
    http://firstconservative.com/blog/political-humor/political-humor-north-korea-and-president-obama )

Obama needs to confront the DPRK somewhere besides the UN if He expects a resolution to this problem.  But...as Obama has resigned himself to a nuclear armed Iran, He may have already resigned himself to a nuclear North Korea.  Good thing He is killing the US missile defense shield.

  2. You really ought to read the official North Korean newspaper:

    Korean News

    It’s jaw-droppingly unbelievable.  Here’s a sample:

“End to Fascist Dictatorship in S. Korea Demanded

Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA)—Intolerable is the treacherous fascist dictatorial rule enforced under the signboard of “pragmatism” as it blocks the independence and democracy of the south Korean society and does harm to the cause of the country’s reunification, the desire of all the compatriots. A definite end should be put to it.
