I was doing chores this am and noted that change in light values that indicates, “oh, a cloud. wait there weren’t supposta be any today.” It was a smoke front. yik. White sky. Though it does keep the temp down… Sorta.
Heck - according to these dufi it ain’t even gonna get dark at night until Friday. Gonna be a loooooong summer…
Just think of all the carbon output and the deathly silence from the Global Worms set. ...while I go wipe another layer of “smoke” offa my furniture.
But it does make for pretty sunsets. Maybe sunrises, too, but I’ve never been around that early.
Another blogger found an old 2002 NYT article on how that evil Bush wanted to do some forest cutting to make firebreaks so this sort of thing wouldn’t happen. But obviously, they said, it was only so his fellow forest-destroyers could grow rich at the Earth’s expense.
I think our sainted Governor should take some of the heat as well. He’s been a lot closer to the problem.
