This little feller apparently wants to be the next Mohammad “ya kalb” Atta; only with nukes. There’ve been warnings, extra videos, a plethora of offers [as per Koran 9:29] to convert or die. To my eye, the board is awash in red lights.
Are suitcase nukes BS? What about Davy Crocketts/SDAMs?
There’ve been reports that alQ doesn’t have nukes or that there is no such thing and reports [unverifiable by me] that some such device was found on an alQ suspect at the Ramadi crossing a coupla years ago.
Given that it’s best to look the worst case scenario straight in the eye—whatcha t’ihk.
AFAIK, the size is possible, but they would not be light. The smaller/lighter the package the less shielding it would have. This would make it more deadly to carry (but then maybe those 72 virgins really go for a martyr that glows in the dark) AND it would be easier to detect.
Basic answer is yes they can be relatively small and look decidely un-bomblike.
