[AIG’s Financial Products unit gave] Sen. Christopher Dodd’s presidential campaign with more than $103,000 during the 2008 election cycle. ...“I don’t want those contributions," [Dodd] said, of any that might be tainted by the scandal over the use of taxpayer money to fund bonuses for some top managers.
And then this “paper” proceeds to name 11 of the executives’ private citizen donations to a political campaign.
So who’s replacing the money he’s giving back? [wouldn’t want him to default on a payment on that Irish Cottage, poor boy]
It’s a sorry whore that won’t even stay bought. But since there are no real consequences either to being bought nor to failing to stay bought, I guess it’s all just peachy.
