Oh. Puh. Leeze.
coincidental timing, I’m sure...

Time’s cover is a black-and-white photo from 1931, showing unemployed men lining up at a Depression-era soup kitchen in Chicago, opened by Al Capone, in front of a sign that reads, ‘Free Soup, Coffee and Donuts for The Unemployed.’
I wonder if the irony completely escaped them…
While I agree with Rick Moran, “while bias and a desire to defeat McCain is part of the reason they ran this cover, the overriding reason is that they want to sell magazines, I also think this is the height of irresponsible joirnalism. Much the same as the ratings-hyping screech-fest on cable/broadcast nooz the last couple of weeks.
It’s become perfectly clear that the MEdia could create an economic panic/crash out of the clear blue sky, if they were so moved. Maybe after this crapfest, regular folks will be more cautious before they join the stampeding herd.
And maybe we’ll beat the tar out of a few Congresscritters at the ballot box this year, too…
hey! It could happen....
