Nice Bling, Bro
fitty half-cent

So what’re the symbols in that ...piece?
Hey man, that is some cool bling.

There’s a cool photo on the NYT:
Obama receives medal from King Abdullah
(I notice he put it on himself, rather than run the risk of the rather tall Obama “bowing” before the rather short King, as Bush did some time back. But Obama’s first bow had nothing to do with getting a medal.)
From the news story:
“He added, “I thought it was very important to come to the place where Islam began and to seek his majesty’s counsel ...”
I suppose that given his cabinet and other advisors, he needs all the help he can get.
And another gratuitous FDR reference:
“I am not surprised, given the historically strategic ties between our two countries, I believe that go back to the time of the meeting between the late Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the late King Abdul Aziz,” . . .
As for the medal, it’s just the equivalent of a housewarming gift. They used to give each other swords and guns, but Obama would probably be offended by the very thought of a weapon.
