Meg Whitman - Blonde Joke
it’s not “sexist” if she is dumb.
[9/20/20] Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman repeated her call to suspend AB32, the state law that requires companies to lower greenhouse gases, saying she wants to “figure out how to be smart and green."
[background:]
"Without Proposition 23 to protect jobs in California we’ll lose over a million [jobs] because of new regulations about to be enforced to implement California’s global warming law,” said Anita Mangels, communications director for the Yes on Proposition 23 campaign. ...[The California Global Warming Final Solutions Act, or AB 32] will drive energy costs sky high and those in turn will make it more expensive for employers to both keep the lights on and make payroll,"
Yes; “Final Solutions” Act. Warm ‘n’ Fuzzy, no?
[9/23/10] “My plan is to suspend AB 32 for at least one year while we develop the sensible improvements the law badly needs to protect the jobs of hard-working Californians while improving our environment,” she said in her statement. “This is not an easy issue. While green jobs are an important and growing part of our state’s economic future, we cannot forget the other 97 percent of jobs in key sectors like manufacturing, agriculture, transportation and energy. We compete for jobs with many other states, and our environmental policy must reflect that reality."
While Proposition 23 does address the job killing aspects of AB 32, it does not offer a sensible balance between our vital need for good jobs and the desire of all Californians to protect our precious environment. It is too simple of a solution for a complex problem. I believe that my plan to fix AB 32 strikes the right balance for California. I will vote “no” on Proposition 23.
Is this hard for you Meggie? 97 percent of jobs in CA will be endangered by AB 32—over a million jobs [out of 18 million-ish] will be lost. Gone. *p00f* With unemployment over 40% in some Central Valley towns, does this not worry you, Meg?
“... we cannot forget the other 97 percent of jobs ...”
Well, I dunno. It’s the first 97% that worries me.
Whitman amazes me. She’s gonna let AB32 stand - and it is in effect the shaped charges at the foundation of the State - and later on, she’ll figure out some way to put Humpty-fornia back together again.
Whitman ... Brown ... the world’s gone mad. California was such a nice place, back in the ‘60s. I’m looking for a very special hot tub machine.
