Lookie what I found on al Jazeerah!
A letter from the artisté currently known as MMoore to his fans asking them to contact movie theaters and ask the owners to show his mockumentary F-9/11. Apparently he is upset that the organization called MoveAmericaForward.com, which claims 100,000 members, has been successful in asking theaters not to run theFriends,
bahahahahahaha *ahem* Not too obvious, MM.
A Republican PR firm has formed a fake grassroots front group called "Move America Forward" to harass and intimidate theater owners into not showing "Fahrenheit 9/11."
Ya mean a firm owned and/or employed by a Republican? Or is the firm a branch of the GOP? Fake 100,000 members?
...And they are spending a ton of money this week to threaten movie theaters who even think about showing our movie.
Threats consisting of "I won't spend money in your theater to see this pile of crap lies." O vile and vicious right, insisting on veracity! [and they can read your thoughts, too.]
The right wing usually wins these battles.
Yeaaaaah! US! ...er, Us!
Their basic belief system is built on censorship, repression,
Indeed? Dissenting opinion is "censorship?" Must look that up. I thought what we were doing is censureship -- ie spanking he who is baaaaad and can tell a lie.
and keeping people ignorant.
As opposed to assuming that people are so freakin' stoo-pud and lazy that they will swallow any bit of twisted drivel you hand them?
They want to limit or snuff out any debate or dissension. They also don't like pets and are mean to small children. Too many of them are named "Fred."
Swear to dogs -- that's cut/paste.
[insert long winded story repeating the Miramax lie and whining about how long it took to find new distributors hungry enough to touch this crap with a 10 foot pole. This he attributes to various unnamed "pressures," probably the pressure of the distributors' lunch attempting to flow back upwards.]
A final quote or two before my lunch attempts the same;
MoveOn.org—an ACTUAL grassroots organization—
bahahahahahahaha -- tell it to George Sorros's poodle. He'll buy it, if ya give him steak.
have done a very cool thing. They are pledging to send a message to theater owners
Each and every one of them? A pledge is not an action -- it's an appeasement. Even your own kind looks at you as the 800lb gorilla not to piss off. You'd blush if you knew how.
The White House and their minions in our media have presented one distorted version of the truth after another for the past four years.
Here he's talking to those who haven't left the cave for a few years. Youknowwhooo.
O'Reilly..., like a coward, he walked out on a screening we invited him to (with Al Franken just a few rows away!).
Didn't want to soil the carpet, poor fella.
MMoore claims to have a date to do Letterman on 6.18. Let's let Dave know we don't want to see that pile of self-serving war profiteer on a show we like, eh?
If MMoore wants people to see his filim, he'll send out free tickets and have free showings. [that's the only way he'll get my narrow white ass in a seat] Maybe he'll even stop making more big fat piles of money lying about the very men and women who are risking their lives to protect his right to make this filim.
Hey Mikey! I hereby challenge you to give half the profits from F-9/11 to Spirit of America to help those Iraqi people whom you claim we've harmed.
.
AND MORE: Good overall essay on MMoore:
AND MORE: I went to MMoore's homepage and whole his "diary" isn't loading, there is the letter right up top. Wondering: 1] the route that letter took to end up on the alJizz site 2] what Mikey writes in his diary? [ideas?]
Did he really say too many of them are named Fred?
Posted by irishlass on 06/20/04 at 05:21 PMYep. It’s right there on alJazz. And on his website, too.
And: "They also don’t like pets and are mean to small children."
I think he’s called himself a “humourist....” Maybe the filim is a comedy?
