Frankly, my Dears, WASoF.
Rep. John Carter (R-Texas), the secretary of the House Republican Conference and a former District Court Judge, is having his messages to constituents censored by Democrats on the Franking Commission. “government run health care”
...“What we proposed as language was as follows, ‘House Democrats unveiled a government-run health care plan,’” Carter said. “Our response from [Franking Commission] was, ‘You cannot use that language. You must use, ‘The House majority unveiled a public option health care plan,’ which is Pelosi-speak ..."
Republican Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) also found himself being censored yesterday by Democrats who refused to allow mailings that included a chart (pdf) he asked his Republican staff at the Joint Economic Committee to create.
...There are three Republicans and three Democrats on the Franking Commission tasked with approval of franked mail pieces to ensure there is no abuse of the system. The Democrats are refusing to let newsletters that include the chart be mailed.
The chart is waay too big—but there ya are… Note the “Office of Civil Rights” and the “Office of Minority Health” snuggled riht net to the “Bureau of Health Information. [Do “minorities” need different medicine? rly?]
Note, also, that “Low Income Subsidy” applies to someone [single] who makes $43,320/year. $88,200/year for a family of four.
