I was bemoaning my fate when...
bloghosts.com strikes a bad one... Marcland was also hosted by bloghosts.com. He, like I, put off the Big Move until some RL busyness passed. Only, when he went back there was no there there. Yikes!!marc reports: ... I have sent numerous e-mails to bloghosts trying to find out what happened to my stuff, but have received no response, not even to acknowledge that they got my question. I've been patient, but I'm starting to get quite worried. I've not only lost a year and a half worth of marcland posts, but also the entire archive of posts from Not One Inch, the blog that I maintained for my late father during his battle with cancer. Believe me, if there's any way to get those back, I want to know it, not only for my sake, but for my mom as well. Does anyone know a way to contact the folks at bloghosts to find out why my site went down early and to see if there's a way to recover my archives? Can we apply some pressure to them to do so? Is there anything I can do? Because being reasonable and patient only works for a time in a customer/business relationship. If you can help or bring any publicity to my plight, please let me know...
Any ideas? Hell -- all I'm losing out of this deal is my domain name -- what marc lost is ever so much more precious.
Losing your domain name? Can’t it transfer to a new registrar? Waitaminnit…
