Yesterday I told you about some of the educational goals Our Opponent worked toward in his time working with Bill Ayers.
We’ve been told that Mr Ayers is a part of “mainstream” Chicago politics. [wait for laugh to die down]
Not surprisingly, Senator Obama employes in his campaign some other members of “mainstream” Chicago politics. Marilyn Katz works in strategy and public relations. Once she worked as security chief for Students for a Democratic Society, advising throwing golf balls studded with nails in front of police cars, bags full of human excrement at cops and cans of urine. Of course she no longer advises these tactics. But are her goal the same? Has she changed her mind about a new Left distributed in significant social roles, allied with socialists for their sense of thoroughgoing reforms in the system?

The question is, as we all know, they have given up their past tactics; but have they also given up their Values, their goals or their alliances?
I believe the same things I did in 1968 - although, with the passage of time, I believe and understand them more deeply now. I wonder if the same is true of the people I have mentioned?
