Heads Up

somebody’s weewee’d up...

The government is increasingly monitoring Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites for tax delinquents, copyright infringers and political protesters.

Have a nice sip of Hot Steaming Intimidation Stage, anyone?

  1. “... copyright infringers and political protesters.”

Didn’t somebody say not too long ago that “dissent is patriotic”?

I can’t find a source - I thought it was Hilary or Pelosi - but I did find a left-lefty web site crowing all about it:

    The Progressive American Flag:
    Dissent is Patriotic!

    I found a source:

“Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”—Howard Zinn”

If you can’t believe Howard, who can you believe?

There’s one teeny little problem with that site’s quote - their “flag” (it has those quotes in the white stripes) attributes the quote to Jefferson.

Turns out that Zinn really is the source.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Bill Ayers seconded that motion.

Fact-checking and correcting is such tedious work.

Now that they’re in the catbird seat, (to borrow one of Nixon’s phrases) “that statement is no longer operative”.
