Schroeder once again shows his pique at an “ally” on the way out the door. Having used America bashing as a campaign focus in his last two elections, this is hardly a surprise.
Obviously memories in Europe, despite their protestations, don’t go back very far. The said same Americans that Schroeder bashes is the one that rebuilt Germany following WWII, saved his country from Soviet domination and instituted true democracy.
These outward focused attacks are similar to despots from Hitler to Hussien. Anything to take the populace’s attention from stagnent economic growth, huge unemployment and a largely unassimilated muslim population.
