Gonna be a long hot summer?

wilding on the tracks

The engineer of an Amtrak Capitol Corridor train was seriously injured Monday [4/16] night in West Sacramento after a group of people ...[who] stood on the tracks to block the train… When the engineer went downstairs and opened the door, he was dragged off the train and assaulted… The engineer remains hospitalized.
In a separate incident, rock-throwing young men [’utes] attacked another Capitol Corridor train Tuesday afternoon in Richmond. One of the rocks broke a window and injured an engineer.

odd, that.

  1. I would surely like to know more about that “group of people”.

(The “separate incident” link takes me to a login site - is that what you get?)

PS: Look over on jihadwatch, org - this is from 2004:

“City buses have been forced to avoid the immigrant ghetto, as they are met with youths throwing rocks or bottles at them if they enter.”

There’s a strange reality for these people: I think I’ll stand on the tracks in front of an oncoming train.  If I get hurt, I’ll just beat up the engineer.

sorry, Mike—stupid SactoBee.  It comes up ok for me.  It was essentially a rehash of the other story and I quoted all the data given on the Richmond incident.

Where were those city bus incidents?
