BAGHDAD, Iraq
- Saddam Hussein confessed to killings and other crimes committed during his regime, including the massacre of thousands of Kurds in the late 1980s, Iraq’s president said yesterday.

President Jalal Talabani told Iraqi television he was informed by an investigating judge that “he was able to extract confessions from Saddam’s mouth” about crimes “such as executions” which the ousted leader had personally ordered.

Not sure why the bunny/sneer quotes around “crimes”...  Maybe for the AP gassing Kurds is only a misdemeanor…

Roy Hallums, “in good condition and is receiving medical care,” a military statement said after U.S. forces freed him and an unidentified Iraqi from the farmhouse 15 miles south of Baghdad.  ...Lt. Col. Steven A. Boylan, a military spokesman, said the tipster whose information led to Hallums’ release was captured just a few hours before the operation.

CINDY, oh CINDY,
don’t let me down…

CINDY is gonna be AWOL from the Brunswik MN Air Show protest against the Blue Angels’ “glorification of war” / celebration of incredible technical expertise and the fact that Americans refuse to kneel to UbL or the frentch.  Instead, CINDY, Lady of the Ditch, will g’wan over and hassle Speaker Dennis Hastert in Batavia. [not a Baltic country....]

I’m still a tad cornfuzzed about CINDY’s Bend Over ‘n’ Butter Up for bin Laden Bus Bash

There’re prize pigs and carnies who have simpler schedules… I clicked on over there expecting to see they’d cancelled the Southern portion, at least, to go help the Hurricane victims refugees displaced personages states, but I didn’t see that plan up yet… *ahem*

Seems that her PALs at Dar al Hayat likes her a lot.  Colorado, not so much.  Her speech at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Glenwood Springs, Colorado was nixed.  The Mesa State College in Grand Junction, where she was gonna speak, got complaints and disavowed her and all of her actions.

Cindy Sheehan has canceled her visit to the entire state of Colorado citing "more pressing needs elsewhere in the country,"

*snorkity ork dork* wait… CO wasn’t even on the Tour route.  WTF?!?

Speaking of nauseating developments, the newly crowned Prince Yabdulh Zamel Boofta [formerly known as “the defendant,” and before that as “Just Jacko"] is about to make the ultimate sacrifice for the “human suffering *sob* wrought by Katrina.” Settle down…

He’s gonna make another wretch-inducing “We are the World"-type group-grope “charity single” with all of the stars and “stars” he can convince to be in the same gawdforsaken camel-bitten country with him.  Produced by Zamel Jacko’s new best uhm... buddy Prince Abdulla Hamad Alkhalifa of Bahrain, the song has the potentially unfortunate title “From The Bottom Of My Heart.”

I’m sure it’ll sell real big with his supporter in the South.

  1. Closing paragrah of the dar al Hayat:

If we go beyond the distasteful language,
Sheehan’s words express a political position based on considerable evidence. She is putting her position against Bush to work and finding much support from opponents of the war. This group is increasing in numbers, like the resistance that US forces are facing in Iraq. And George Bush will lose the battle with the bereaved mother if he loses the war in Iraq.

Just goes to show you how libs ar the same no matter what part of the planet they. Still clueless and arogant.

  4. Oh, the AP again.  No travesty is too great to trivialized unless it can be turned against the President.  In which case, mole hills suddenly become mountains.
