"Das peeeple ah haaapy"

Kennedyesque moment

[at] Qualcomm Stadium: Bands belted out rock ‘n’ roll, lavish buffets served gourmet entrees, and massage therapists helped relieve the stress for those forced to flee their homes because of wildfires.

Hanging out in public in a stadium for days on end anticipating returning home to their lives burnt to a crisp?

But it’s ok cuz they are eating cake.

One thing particularly noticeable about the nooooz shots of the peeeple being haaapy in the Stadium is that there are no piles of trash swirling about their ankles and there seems to be no poop on the steps to the bleachers.  I’m sure that’s entirely due to the presence of “National Guard Troops with automatic weapons just in case

  1. Most of those Californians are just normal, hard working, common sense, honest people. They are government independent rather than goverment teat suckers.

And they don’t have Ray Nagin running things.

  2. There was a reason for there being no immediate National Guard response at the Louisiana Super Dome, the Louisiana Army National Guard, 256th BCT was in Kuwait City, out processing from Baghdad when Katrina hit… There was NO viable Guard from Louisiana to respond… Even when they came back they couldn’t respond, they were still under FEDERAL orders for several months, I know this 1st hand, my son was one of those 256th BCT Troops…
