Becoming Scary

It is getting clearer to me that this is one of those turning points that is talked about in history classes for centuries to come. What is currently called "The Left" is becoming cruel, vicious, and small in their attempts to "persuade" the rest of this country, and the world, to their point of view. Seems like they're going right 'round the bend -- but that appearance usually indicates unseen material, unconnected dots. It goes far beyond just being a little puke to authorize and put together the new Kucinich commercial. [875K + download] And when called on the very real unintended [?] consequences of this piece, their response is so juvenile, so utterly irrelevant to the point, so petty and childish as not to be comprehendable. Go See Blackfive for the details and some insights. Then check his Trackback list for more responses. I think this is the "unintended consequences" part for Kucinich's merry band. I'm gonna go wash my eyeballs.

  1. Left, right, center...it is all assbackwards and devoid of good sense.

  2. After re-reading this post thrice now, I would love for you to expound some more on it.  You expound so well!!

  3. I agree with you and Jay: there is a monumental shift occurring that will occupy a chapter in future history books and you should expound.  Expounding is good for the soul.

I think increasingly Republicans are becoming the party of idealism, hope, initiative and change while Democrats are embodying cynicism, stagnation and isolationism.

So the true character of these guys is surfacing, and they all are squirming a little under the scrutiny of people who don’t really trust them anymore.  The nuclear meltdown of their constituency and the rage of their core is just propounding all of this.  So they react.  They lash out.  And they use the death of Americans as political capital.

  4. Using deaths on the battlefield for political advantage goes back, at least, to ancient Athens, read Thucydides for examples.

If you are offended or appalled by this I suggest you study political history.

It is also worth remembering that in 1992 the Democrats had majorities in the House and Senate and also had the Presidency.  In the mid-term elections of 1994 to date they have continually lost power.

Dipple-Farker’s ad is merely one more manifestation of the, really rather boring, Liberal Democrat whining “They don’t LOVE us anymore!!!”

Are you actually saying that precedent prevents repugnance?!?  Snark-boy…
