After the photo shoot, Mr [Dick] Cheney approached Senator [Patrick] Lehey and protested about the senator's recent criticism of Halliburton, the huge Defence Department contractor accused of profiteering in Iraq. Mr Carle [Lehey's aide] said that Senator Leahy had reminded Mr Cheney that he had once called Senator Leahy a bad Catholic, to which Cheney responded either "fuck you" or "fuck yourself."

"I was kind of shocked to hear that kind of language on the floor," [Lehey is reported to have said]
...thereby proving that he's new around there. [yes, it is funnier when the shoe is on the other food and it *does* all depend on whose ox is gored] [...intended]
