Amateur Night in the MSM Continues
Newsweek responsible? accountable? liable?
Or just makin’ sh!t up? The professionally edited MSMrNBC property, Newsweek tossed off a casual [?!?] para about how US soldiers at GITMO occasionally toss a random Q’ran down a toilet now and again—whether for recreational purposes or just to see the ‘political prisoners’ squirm, they do not make clear.
Did they have hard evidence—say photos or video that is all so common these days? Did they have an eyewitness account? Did they check their “facts” in any way, shape or form? Not so I have been able to discern—and I did a bit of googling. Lemme know if you have found something?
The upshot of this oh-so-casual “news report?” Tens dead, scores injured, rioting in the ‘Arab street,’ and Condi going PC all over the airwaves—just in time for the Sunday shout-fest. Governments and anti-American forces world wide have fresh ammo; something they’ve been seeking since the abuGrabby horse has been beaten to a greasy spot in the sand.
Isn’t this action by Newsweek even more irresponsible than the whole Rather debacle?
What could possibly prevent the blogosphere from taking Newsweek down for this?

JR’s excellent point about the Muslims being ok with desecrating other people’s religious artifacts, and the corollary point about rioting in one’s own streets and killing one’s own people in reaction to anger at someone else’s actions.... I’m still speechless. Speechless and extremely honked off.
