That this sort of crap is not hooted down with scathing derision and mockery by everyone is a sign we are in deep doodoo.
People who—in the face of all evidence—gobble down Teh Narrative at the level of “they hate his melanin,” will buy into the next and the next carefully titrated levels. Which leads in a dangerous direction.

House Minority Leader John Boehner is challenging a story, published in Sunday’s edition of the New York Times, that cites an anonymous lobbyist who says he bought Boehner’s vote on a number of key issues.
..."They intentionally refused to get the information to prove that this allegation was false."
