ToDaZeD Heads Up
who knew?!?
This CBS Video explains that digital copy machines have hard drives which contain about 20,000 documents copied on that machine. Not so interesting in the case of the office dork who copies his ...sense of humor.
But what if it’s your accountant? Med lab? Dr’s office? Broker? Attorney?
My question—why do copiers save these documents from one session to the next? Are they accessible to others in the office later?
And why no procedures to erase the hard drives before re-selling the machines? ...some to overseas buyers.
Translation, Please?
wth is up with Hillary! lately?!
Some Pakistani officials were more informed about Al-Qaeda and Taliban than they let on”, Clinton told CBS in an interview.
“I’m not saying that they’re at the highest levels but I believe that somewhere in this government are people who know where Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda is, where Mullah Omar and the leadership of the Afghan Taliban is and we expect more cooperation to help us bring to justice, capture or kill, those who attacked us on 9/11,"she said.

We’ve made it very clear that if, heaven-forbid, an attack like this [Times Square FAIL-bomber] that we can trace back to Pakistan were to have been successful, there would be very severe consequences,” [Hillary] had said.
TWO pre-conditions for severe consequences:
1] traceable to Pakistan
2] successful
So, try as many times as you like, create as much havoc and, well, terror as you like: just do not succeed. ...or else ...something.
Asked what she meant exactly [by “severe consequences"] , she said, “I think I’ll let that speak for itself."
Times of India—India having somewhat of a stake in this situation—has some commentary....
The import of Clinton’s remarks was not immediately clear. Several terrorist attacks in the US and across the world, including 9/11, the London subway bombing, and the Mumbai massacre of 26/11, have been traced to Pakistan with very little consequence.
Well, some “consequences”:
The US policy in this regard has largely been to shovel more money in the form of military and economic aid to Pakistan in the hopes of weaning it away from extremism, a policy that has not worked in the past.

IDNTWMWYTIM: "Respect"
It’s like an income—you have to earn it.
About 200 Hispanic teens are marching in Morgan Hill yelling “We want respect!” and “Si se puede!" in reaction to a controversy ignited when the Live Oak High School principal effectively sent four students home for wearing T-shirts with American flags on them during Cinco de Mayo.
Mexican-American students felt the students were being disrespectful on the only day they celebrate their heritage...
Meanwhile, Back at the Vineyard...
hm… who’s tending the vines?
...four female students [Vintage High School, Napa CA] were involved in a fight related to the burning of a [Mexican national] flag, according to Napa police.
...Thursday, school administrators found out the burned flag had been discarded on the school campus. They checked trash cans and found a partially burned Mexican national flag, police said.
Investigators believe two students burned it in protest for the celebration of Cinco De Mayo

Equal But Separate?
different rules for different skoolz
Five Morgan Hill, California students were asked to take off their American flag bandannas and turn their T-shirts inside out after ... members of Live Oak High School’s large Mexican-American student population that felt it was offensive for the students to wear the American flag on a day that’s supposed to celebrate Mexican heritage.
...When the boys refused to take off their flag t-shirts and bandannas, they were ordered to go to the principal’s office.
“They said we could wear it on any other day,” Live Oak student Daniel Galli said, “but today is sensitive to Mexican-Americans because it’s supposed to be their holiday so we were not allowed to wear it today.”
The alleged concern was that the T-shirts would lead to fights on campus.
So those who would start fights were not warned or penalized… Is it raaaacist to assume the Mexican kids couldn’t behave rationally? Is it the soft bigotry of lowered expectations to feel the need to arrange everything so as to cushion one group from ...well, reality?

"I think they should apologize cause it is a Mexican heritage day,” Annicia Nunez, a Live Oak High student, told NBC. “We don’t deserve to be get disrespected like that. We wouldn’t do that on Fourth of July."

Mayor inARTful
leadership
Teh NYC Mayor lashes out blindly guesses:
“If I had to guess, twenty five cents, this would be exactly that,” Bloomberg said. “Homegrown maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything.”
*bzzzzt* oooo, sooorry.
[Faisal Shahzad of Shelton, Conn.] A 30-year-old American immigrant from Pakistan was taken off a plane bound for Dubai [final destination, Pakistan] late Monday at John F. Kennedy International Airport and arrested in connection with a failed attempt to detonate a car bomb in Times Square, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. announced. through his tears.

I knew we’d all feel incomplete without this:
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says New York City “will not tolerate any bias" following the arrest of a U.S. citizen from Pakistan in the Times Square car bombing attempt.
...that also applies to potential backlash against Muslim New Yorkers.
...there are “a few bad apples” among any groups.
