Backlash Against Teh Ignoratti
“popular" or proven?
Mass drug overdose – none dead
No ill effects were reported by hundreds of volunteers who took part in a mass-overdose stunt around the world to demonstrate that homeopathic remedies are nothing more than sugar pills.
..."No one was cured of anything either,"
Health 2000 company chairperson Bob McDonald has labelled sceptics who staged a protest on homeopathic remedies as “ignorant and stupid”.
...[He] said homeopathic remedies, such as arnica cream and tablets and hayfever tablets, were popular with many customers.
“People aren’t buying them if they aren’t getting results,” Mr McDonald said.
Speaking of “ignorant and stupid”
Warning: HuffPo Link
Homeopathy is based on three central ideas: First, the Law of Similars: whatever causes your symptoms can also cure them. If you can’t sleep, try caffeine.
Second, the Law of Infinitesimals. When you dilute a cure in water, it gets stronger.
Third, the Law of Succussion, which states that each time you dilute your cure in water you are to tap the bottle to “potentize” it. Homeopaths believe this allows the water to retain the memory or vibration of the cure.
Medical Rule of Thirds: No matter what ya do, a third of your patients will get better, a third will get worse and a third will stay about the same.
...surely all of us who don’t take any homeopathic remedies are, in fact, overdosing; because if a lower concentration is more potent, then surely none is infinitely powerful...

“Choices”—CA Style
Meg Whitman’s campaign played this card in an email:
via MercyNooz
Poizner responded by running to the press and Teh FBI asking for an investigation:
via MercyNooz
[Poisner:] “This is an attempt behind the scenes to try to get me not to run...” [uhm… duh] “You can’t threaten people to get out. You can’t manipulate people to get out. Voters have to have choices.”
A solid B+ from the Big Fat Baby Made Outta Gravy Skool of Politics.
[Mike Murphy:] “It is true that I have been trying to find a way to avoid a costly and unnecessary Republican primary. I believe it is important that Republicans across California unite around Meg Whitman to defeat Jerry Brown in the fall. It is also true that I am not the only one with this view,” Murphy said. “Hopefully, the commissioner was not serious about wasting taxpayer dollars by asking state and federal authorities to waste their time on such a silly matter of perfectly legal politics.”
Thanks for letting CA voters know what a little finkey stool pigeon weeeener you are, Steve.
Fail.

there’s a Beach Boys song in there somewhere
Santa Clarita is a nice looking little town in the mountains along the Grapevine, north of Teh LA Basin. Bob Kellar is a long-time councilman and two-time mayor of that town. He is known to quote Teddy Roosevelt on immigration issues:
There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. [and/or] We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any flag of a nation to which we are hostile. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.
Hilarity Stupidity ensues:
Kellar said those remarks caused some people to accuse him of being racist, to which he replied: If believing in America causes people to think he’s a racist, “then I’m a proud racist."
Imagine the panty-wadding. First on the scene, the “anti-racist organization Answer Coalition”—subset of the World Socialist Workers and quintessential humorless lefty tyrants.
Next on the scene, demonstrating her [or her campaign’s—trying to be fair...] complete inability to detect sarcasm or nuance of any kind, comes Candidate Meg “I’m from the Real World” Whitman
The Whitman campaign issued a statement Saturday disavowing Santa Clarita Councilman Bob Kellar. The statement comes one day after state Democrats called on the former eBay chief executive to distance herself from Kellar.
...Whitman’s campaign spokeswoman Sarah Pompei says Kellar’s comments are unacceptable.
*facepalm*
Here’s some more of Kellar’s “unacceptable” comments:
"Forty people living in one house and destroying our neighborhood and quality of life, emergency rooms with standing room only and no one speaking English, day laborers standing all over our streets taking a toll on our businesses and traffic,” Kellar wrote. “That describes some of the issues on a local basis."
Tks for letting the CA voters know where ya stand [apparently at the beck ‘n’ call of Dhimmicrats] on the invasion immigration issue, Meggy.

Scott Brown Action Figures
He’s not just a Democrat killer - he’s an administration killer!”
In other nooz:
...the Obama doll is a “terrible” sell.
“He doesn’t translate into a good action figure because he never does anything,” ...
