And *I* couldn't even take shop class!!

envy attack

A bill introduced by a Wyoming County [WV] senator could bring hunter education back to the state’s middle schools.

...Children would be instructed in everything from survival skills to gun safety, but the guns would either have dummy ammunition or be disabled. Sen. Billy Wayne Bailey, who introduced the bill, doesn’t envision West Virginia’s middle-school students firing real guns during class time.

oh… kinda hard to hit the target with a disabled gun.

Unless ya throw it?

Barack Obama on Tuesday night aimed to scrub [Syrian-born businessman] Tony Rezko’s taint off his political fund-raising machine, saying he’s identified all remaining donations to his U.S. Senate campaign that are tied to the indicted businessman and is donating them to charity. ...bringing the total Obama is giving away to $157,835…

“By refunding these donations, the campaign has returned any and all funds that could be reasonably credited to Mr. Rezko’s political support,” Obama campaign spokesman ...

...Rezko’s wife and Obama bought the adjoining real estate parcels from a doctor in the Kenwood neighborhood. Obama paid $1.65 million for the doctor’s mansion, while Rezko’s wife paid $625,000 for the vacant lot next door.

Six months later, Obama paid Rita Rezko $104,500 for one-sixth of the vacant lot ... Obama expressed regret about the transaction, calling it “boneheaded” and “a mistake” because Tony Rezko was widely known to be under federal investigation at the time.

So Rezko is a “charity?” or...?

McCain -- the *other* SorosCandidate?

just so’s yanno

Malkin: Shamnesty peddler John McCain taps former Mexican government official/shamnesty advocate Juan Hernandez as his presidential campaign Hispanic Outreach Director. ...
Ed Morrissey: Richard Davis, RI’s president and John McCain’s campaign manager [and] McCain’s chief political advisor, I found it odd that the RI—which pays Davis a $110,000 “consulting fee” annually instead of a salary as its president—received money from donors such as the sources that follow below. ...

It’s better to know than not to know.

RIP

Robert Bussard, 1928-2007

“the survival of our high-tech civilizations depends on getting off of fossil fuels ASAP, and — if we do not — we will descend into a growing series of ‘oil wars’ and energy confrontations that can lead only to a huge cataclysm. Which CAN be circumvented if only we build the clean fusion machines in our time.”

...But, he conceded, the political reality is that oil companies have no interest in supporting fusion research. “There is only one thing the oil companies want, and that is to sell oil, and more oil,” he said.

“The only way to stop oil, from their view, is when it does run out. And then they’ll go for deeper drilling, new fields, Gulf geopressure gas, LNG, etc. etc., and keep raising the price, until finally foolish solar and windmills become competitive,"

Huff, the Magic erm... Sanitizer

wipes out germs and reason

...the family’s ordeal began Oct. 19, when his son picked up a bottle of hand sanitizer from the desk of his fifth-period reading teacher at Killian Middle School in Lewisville. He rubbed the gel on his hands and smelled it.

...The youth was sent to the principal’s office, and the Lewisville police officer assigned to the school began investigating. ...The teen was required to serve a brief in-school suspension and was also fingerprinted and photographed at the Lewisville Police Department.  ...served with a petition charging his son with delinquency for inhaling the hand sanitizer

...said his son sniffed the cleanser “because it smelled good."

Do what, now?

outta the loop

Erm… I realize I been outta touch for a while… So I’m supposta send in my tax money and then rejoice with a little spendy dance when they waste a pile of it just to send me a few shekkles back?  And then they put it all on the debt tab?

Now I fully admit I failed Econ 101 [macro and micro] but even *I* realize this is a pile of steaming political pander - not an “economic stimulus.”

Just me™?

Archaic Term Revival of the Day

hysteria: an uncontrollable outburst ..various abnormal effects due to autosuggestion

In short, gang raping of women is commonplace in our culture both physically and metaphorically.

“commonplace” Has this been your experience?

This past week, we witnessed just such a phenomenon involving men who are afraid of a powerful woman.

If she’s so “powerful,” how come she can’t defend herself?

There are those who will dismiss, defend or even shame those around them into believing that we progressives are making a mountain out of a mole hill.  But that’s the game plan of the patriarchal system that has persisted for millennia. Because they can’t frighten Hillary they’ve decided to control her with the time-old trick of patriarchal ridicule. Women, you know what I mean!

Yeah I do.  That technique has been tried on me by all my life by those who thought they were more powerful dumbasses who like to push folks around—both male and female.  Funny thing is… that technique requires the cooperation of the one being ‘controlled.’ Won’t work without it.

But something tells me Mzzzz Pappas knows that already…

So let’s not let young women and little girls down, whether it’s on the playground, in the workplace, or in the political arena.

Agreed.  Let’s teach them that Victimhood is Voluntary in this free society.  That they can create lives and families independent of gubbmint “help,” intervention or “instruction.” That strength comes from independence and standing on one’s own feet.  From owing no one anything.

Which means Hillary! [and her Marxist Magi] will be ‘President’ of the Dustbin of History Herstory.

Projection?

Projection?
cynical?  moi?!?

Bill Clinton, speaking at a Vegas YMCA last night”

"Today when my daughter and I were wandering through the hotel, and all these culinary workers were mobbing us telling us they didn’t care what the union told them to do, they were gonna caucus for Hillary.

There was a representative of the organization following along behind us going up to everybody who said that, saying ‘if you’re not gonna vote for our guy were gonna give you a schedule tomorrow so you can’t be there.’ So, is this the new politics? I haven’t seen anything like that in America in 35 years. So I will say it again – they think they’re better than you.

[unlike Hillary, ya mean...]

“We need a new politics where we all love each other."

Exit barfing.

image

Clinton supporters can ask union organizers—who are actively promoting Obama’s candidacy—to add their names to the lists of workers who will take time off to caucus today. ... Workers can go around the union and ask their managers directly.

Border Tragedy

awaiting help from Mexican Gubbmint-o...

YUMA, Calif.—A Border Patrol officer was run over and killed on Saturday as he attempted to lay a spike strip to stop a speeding Hummer in the sand dunes of Imperial County. [t Grey’s Well Road]

...The vehicles sped south through sand dunes towards Mexico. Interstate 8 is less than one mile north of Baja California at that location, and the two vehicles were last seen speeding towards Mexico federal Highway 2 east of Mexicali.
