'Splain it to me, Hajji
am I missing something here?
So the UN’s “solution / cease fire” is to give the area to 15,000 blue-helmets and 15,000 Hezb’allah troops?
Good thinking, Cymfia Condi.

Nothing to do with Egyptians in Minnesota
move along… nothing to see here
BRITISH police have reportedly foiled a plot to smuggle explosive devices in airline hand luggage to blow up planes in mid-flight, ... flights between the Britain [sic] and the US.
...and in typical Homeland ‘Security’ style,
...The BBC reports that the Department for Transport has set strict security measures at UK airports.
Passengers would not be allowed to take any hand luggage on to any flights in the UK, the department said.
Only the barest essentials - including passports and wallets - would be allowed on board in transparent plastic bags.

Today's Best Kept Secret
Just a month shy of 5 years after...
FBI Alert: 11 Egyptians Missing From Montana
The FBI has issued an urgent nationwide alert for 11 Egyptian students who entered the United States last week but failed to show up for their courses at Montana State University.
An FBI advisory says there are, at present, no known connections to any terrorist group but that the students are to be “approached with caution” and taken into custody. They “are here illegally and wanted for questioning,” the advisory says.
...the Egyptians arrived at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on July 29 and disappeared. The advisory says the alert is nationwide but that there is specific concern the Egyptians may be on the Eastern Seaboard.

Time for another Chorus!
just cuz it makes me feel good!
Mini-Mahdi a Maundering Moe-Rahn
...but let’s talk about MEL
“Attacks by the Zionist regime against its neighbors, notably Lebanon, Syria, and its threats against other countries in the region are due to the fact that the artificial and sinister regime cannot live normally,” he added.
He said crime, violence, aggression and plundering are distinctive features of the Zionist regime.
“Today, the occupied Palestinian land has turned into a lab for the world public opinion to test the slogans of democracy and human rights claimed by the pro-Zionist Western states,” he added.
He said the Zionist rulers are selfish to the extent that prevent even their own or Western scientists from doing research on the public opinion’s important question on Holocaust.
“There are still questions… maybe in your so-called Holocaust more than six million Jews were massacred (during World War II), so why do you not allow people to undertake new research?” he asked.
The Zionist regime, he went on to say, has become impudent to the extent that does not allow even regional states and independent scientific institutions on its neighborhood to acquire new technologies, considering the achievements a serious affront to its security.
He said opposition to Iran’s nuclear achievements and acquiring peaceful nuclear technology is a clear instance of the Zionist policy.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ahmadinejad hailed the popular autonomous Palestinian government, saying it has come to power under international supervision, being threatened and not officially recognized by the US and the West. He said any democracy slogans of the US and the West are empty and a gesture of prestige.
“This situation cannot last, and one day the protectors of the Zionist regime, the US in particular, will have to explain themselves and be judged by the conscience of humanity,” he added.

It's not a "civil" war
DiFi is a moe-rahn
London, Apr. 16 [2006] – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps has set up a new terrorist training camp in Eastern Iraq, according to a commander of Iraq’s border police.
The Iraqi officer told the National Iraqi News Agency that the camp was situated 2.5 kilometres from the Iran-Iraq border in the Iraqi province of Diyala.
The IRGC has been holding training courses lasting two weeks at the camp for its Iraqi mercenaries to carry out assassinations of Sunni Iraqis, especially those who held officer ranks in the Iraqi army during the reign of Saddam Hussein, the officer said. He did not reveal his name for fear of reprisals by Iraqi security officers who owe their allegiance to the Islamic Republic. Iranian-backed Shiite radicals of the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) form the backbone of security services in the war-torn nation.

Mel Gibson: “F^*&ing Jews, the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world. Are you a Jew?"
[Joy] Behar said on The View that Gibson “needs to be welcomed into the Jewish community by a public circumcision.”
[so, Joy—how would you know that’s ...erm, needed? e-C]Barbara Walters ... said she’d never see another Gibson movie… [well, there goes a $3 senior matinee ticket... e-C]
Former AOL Time Warner Vice Chairman Merv Adelman was so incensed by the lack of outrage in an industry founded and led by many Jews that he bought a quarter-page ad in the Los Angeles Times to protest the lack of protest.
“The Zionist regime and its supporters who even in the UN Security Council place obstacles in the way of ceasefire in the region, must know they have started something that can’t be ended to their please,” he emphasized.
Iran’s President went on to say this issue had caused all especially Muslim countries to understand more about secret international relations and the traitors of the Islam World.
“There no longer is dignity left for those who falsely claim democracy, human rights and freedom as human only path,” he added.
He described the Jewish state as “fake” and said that it lacked any “legal foundation or legitimacy”.
“The United States and Britain and a considerable number of Western government do not have any limits on the extent of their political, propaganda, financial, and military backing for this regime”, he said.
He said the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, which has been in intense battle with Israel over the past three weeks, had become the “symbol of Muslim resistance”.
“The main solution is the elimination of the Zionist regime”, Ahmadinejad said.
He called on Arab and Islamic governments to immediately halt their overt and covert political and economic ties with Tel Aviv.
The hard-line Iranian president demanded that the U.S. and Britain pay compensation to Lebanon because they had supported the Israeli offensive. “These two governments must be held accountable for their crimes in Lebanon”, he said.
He called on the OIC to condemn the U.S. and Britain for their “key role” in the conflict, and added that the U.S. did not have “competence” to be a member of the United Nations Security Council.
“Islamic governments, including regional states, should fulfill their responsibilities in a more concrete way because failure will mean these aggressions will not be limited to Lebanon”...
[all emph mine e-C]“Today Hizbullah defends Islam. The issue of Shiite and Sunni is not the question. The Shiite Hizbullah shoulders this responsibility to reduce pressure on Hamas, which is a Sunni movement,” he added.
..."The Zionist regime drew plans for its attacks on Lebanon two months ago when it carried out a maneuver in the occupied Palestine.
“The Zionists intended to surprise Lebanon but Hizbullah captured two Israeli soldiers as part of its legitimate defense.“Washington is after establishment of a new Middle East which will be under their control”...

Say Anything, a good blog in general, has an excellent video on the culture of jihad. It’s titled Obsession, is a tad long, and worth every minute.
It showed me things I didn’t know.
It also explains what Assal is so eager to show his chiiildren on TV. For their education . . .

90 days to ELECTION TIME
oy.... again already?!?
And the Libtards, Moonbats and Insane KozKlown Posse are raising money like topless Salvation Army tuba players. The Right? ...not so much.
Time to change that, as we all know it’s not the number of votes, but the number of dollars that gets a candidate in.
What to do? A select and erudite group from the right side of the blogosphere has put together a list of candidates who need support and a PAC to do it with. [an amazing amount of work, a PAC]
John Hawkins from Right Wing News
Robert Bluey from Human Events
Mary Katherine Ham from Townhall
Erick Erickson from Redstate
Ed Morrissey from Captain’s Quarters
Lorie Byrd from Wizbang
Patrick Hynes from Ankle Biting Pundits
Head on over to ABCPAC, check out their list of candidates and see what you think.

Hysteria: The Devil's Appetizer
we’re being so conned
No matter what you do, there’s an outfit out there to tell you how to do it better: “better” means their way.
The Center for Consumer Freedom is a nonprofit coalition of restaurants, food companies, and consumers working together to promote personal responsibility and protect consumer choices.
The growing cabal of “food cops,” health care enforcers, militant activists, meddling bureaucrats, and violent radicals who think they know “what’s best for you” are pushing against our basic freedoms. We’re here to push back.
...We speak up whenever activists propose curtailing consumer freedom. What makes us different from many organizations is that we aren’t afraid to take on groups that have built “good” images through slick public relations campaigns. Remember: even an ugly baby can be named “Tiffany.” Just because they claim to be “ethical” or “responsible” or “in the public interest” doesn’t mean they are. Just because they claim to be “scientific” doesn’t mean they aren’t really pushing junk science. And when they talk about throwing bricks through windows, taxing your favorite foods, or throwing the book at popular restaurants with tobacco-style lawsuits, we make sure you know about it.
According to the Director [on the raadio] these outfits come at us from three general directions: Food, Labor and Energy. When ya think about it, that pretty much covers everydam thing we do.
eg, there is an outfit that is lobbying to prevent anyone from buying food grown more than 200 miles away. There go my Chilean grapes! Nebraska children will never taste an orange! Just like 1820.
MADD [who, incidentally has a pension plan for its employees—they’re not gonna declare ‘success’ any time soon] is working to have installed as original equipment on every car a breathalyzer which will engage the starter. Every freaking time ya get in your car—breathalyzer test. Breathalyzer manufacturers are understandably behind it as well as car companies and others. Real popular idea in socialist EU.
*clicky*clicky* on over: it’s a well done site, well written, full of links to follow and dots to connect.
