Just sayin'...
Just sayin’...
You know what it takes to fight terrorism? It takes brass balls to fight terrorism.
He said a mouthful there.
["don’t take that the wrong way"]*
*Deadwood Quote Of the Day
Wow. I guess it *is* War
formal declaration in the Sunday Section
Dick Cheney accused the [NYT] Monday of making “the job of defending against further terrorist attacks more difficult.” ..."Publishing this highly classified information about our sources and methods for collecting intelligence will enable the terrorists to look for ways to defeat our efforts,” ...Cheney said he considers it “a disgrace” that The Times was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for its stories disclosing the terrorist surveillance program.
No quotes readily available, but I assume Secretary Rumsfeld’s response to the NYT pi$$ing all over national security and calling it a leak was characteristically pithy.
Their response?
St. Michaels [MD] has begun to lure V.I.P.’s who, some boosters would have it, could propel it into the gilded realm of the Hamptons and Nantucket. But that will take a while. There’s little for the young — just a few bars and no beaches or nightclubs — and these new householders are too circumspect and perhaps too old to be showcasing their excesses, baubles and abs.
One is Vice President Dick Cheney, 65, who paid $2.67 million last September for a house that resembles a wide, squat Mount Vernon. Another is his old friend Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, 73, who in 2003 paid $1.5 million for a brick Georgian that was last a bed-and-breakfast.
They then, in a snark-littered article, proceed to describe, name, and point out the security measures of both men’s homes, completing the job with photos and a map.
I wonder how long it takes to deliver that free copy to that cave in Pakistan?

Behind every good jihaddi stands a ...
screeching harridan in a tablecloth
Apparently the wives of the Canada 7 are sisters of the same stripe. And they avoided arrest how?
When it came time to write up the premarital agreement between Zakaria Amara and Nada Farooq, Ms. Farooq briefly considered adding a clause that would allow her to ask for a divorce.
She said that Mr. Amara (now accused of being a leader of the alleged terror plot that led to the arrests of 17 Muslim men early this month) had to aspire to take part in jihad.
“[And] if he ever refuses a clear opportunity to leave for jihad, then i want the choice of divorce,” she wrote...
Here’s her Jihhaddi Hero…

...so perhaps I can see her point about putting it in writing.
Wives of four of the central figures arrested last month were among the most active on the website, sharing, among other things, their passion for holy war, disgust at virtually every aspect of non-Muslim society and a hatred of Canada.
...Voting, she tells them, inherently violates the sovereignty of God, making it the most egregious sin against Islam.
Here’s a sample of Jihaddi Hubby’s prose:
from Zakaria Amara’s BBS postings: I hate flags. I hate countries… I hate man made laws.... I hate nationalism with a passion… I love for the Sake of Allah and I hate for his sake...... When the islamic [rule] comes back… there will be no palisitne flag, no philipino flag… no pakistani, somali, american, or british flag… it will just be 1 flag
Very John Lennon… without the hi skool edumakashun.

Nancy Pelosi Advocates US Invasion of Every Country on Earth
"Help! Help! I’m being repressed!"
from Stretch Pelosi’s own ruby red
collagenlips:Today’s Supreme Court decision reaffirms the American ideal that all are entitled to the basic guarantees of our justice system. This is a triumph for the rule of law.
“The rights of due process are among our most cherished liberties, and today’s decision is a rebuke of the Bush Administration’s detainee policies and a reminder of our responsibility to protect both the American people and our Constitutional rights. We cannot allow the values on which our country was founded to become a casualty in the war on terrorism.
Ya hear dat? “ALL”
Not “All Americans.” “ALL.” Every. single. person. on. Earth. Little goat-molesters taking pot-shots at Marines. Camel-pals living in caves. Sand-wipers squattin’ ‘n’ plottin’ around fires in remote mountain passes. The Frentch! “ALL.”
Guess we better up-fund the military…

Tom would...
Section 1. Policy. It is the policy of the United States to protect the rights of Americans to their private property, including by limiting the taking of private property by the Federal Government to situations in which the taking is for public use, with just compensation, and for the purpose of benefiting the general public and not merely for the purpose of advancing the economic interest of private parties to be given ownership or use of the property taken.

Note to da Cahlefohrneeiah Gubbment
and I am unanimous in this!
Well, here it is; the first week of 100° - plus summer heat storm. And here it comes again; the griping and warning and whinging. Again you’re threatening us with brownouts and *gasp* total blackouts because [ready for this?] because we the citizens are using too much power.
I’d just like to say, HORSE HOCKEY!! Yes, I know; Ken Lay swerengened us *all* in the *cough* end. What. Freakin’. Ever. That was years ago. Years!
It’s the Twenty First freakin’ Century, boys. Figure it the hell out how to obtain or make sufficient power for the sixth largest economy in the world. Quit telling me “Flex Your Power,” get offa yer fat toadstools and git ‘er done!
Or I will flex my power and y’all will find out what it’s like to get a real job.

Typing Aloud
Lookie here—if it were “all about OIIILLLL” we’d have invaded Canada and/or Mexico. They have as much oil reserves and they have damned little military. And they’re muuuuch closer which means decreased shipping costs and increased profit margins. [mwuuuhahahaha] ‘Sides, Canadians hardly ever behead folks—even those they dislike.
How many votes do you hafta lose before you get the idea that we’re not bugging out of Iraq today? After which you introduce more NON-BINDING resolutions? Will you people quit punching the clown and deal with some of the actual issues in front of US? You’re looking dim.
And what is the big idea of bugging out on the Iraqi people at this stage, leaving them holding the bag, anyway? Do ya realize you’re actually standing up in public and saying “well—we lost 2,500 of our citizens [as compared to tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens] so we better quit and run away, cuz American citizens are so much more important than those little brown people over there.” You do realize they can hear you, doncha?
And if there is a lesson to be learned from Viet Nam, Misssster Kerry, isn’t it more about the 1.5 - 3 million people who were slaughtered by the enemy after we prematurely pulled out of a giant military win? And the fact that the Vietnamese government is still one of the most repressive in the world? And that the leaders of the Enemy in Viet Nam actually were convinced that they had already lost [according to them] [just like Zarqawi said in his notes] right when we decided to run away?
Oh, and I’m still awaiting an acknowledgment—much less *snerk* an apology *snerk*—on the “No WMDs” thing. Hell - I’d settle for one from The President.

WOT?? What WOT??
someone interrupt Murtha at his mirror
MIAMI - Seven people were arrested Thursday in connection with the early stages of a plot to attack Chicago’s Sears Tower and other buildings in the U.S., including the FBI office here, a federal law enforcement official said.
...the men taken into custody described themselves as Muslims ...had tried to recruit young people to join their apparently militaristic group....in their teens or 20s ...lived in the area about a year ...slept in the warehouse ...come out late at night and exercise ... come out and stand guard.”
“They seemed brainwashed. They said they had given their lives to Allah."
Wow. How against type.

I will tolerate opposing points of view (such as TRUE conservatism) if it is not accompanied by support for the Pig Bush.

Lend a Hand
Capt. B has a plan
Are you tired of hearing the media badger the military? Do you want to send a message to all of the service members fighting the war on terrorism? We are planning to purchase a full page ad in a major paper to support our troops before July 4th. I’m open for slogans so if you’re tired of blow hearts bad mouthing your Marines, people accusing before being tried, then do something about it. Otherwise you have no room to talk. If you support this idea, let me know in the comments. Give your recommendations for a slogan, newspaper to submit it in and just how you feel. If we get enough support, I’ll make it happen.
*clicky*clicky* y’all!
